Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Your Privacy Is Our Priority — Exercising Your Rights Under the CCPA

Effective Date: January 1, 2026  |  Trailver.com

Our Commitment to Your Privacy

At Trailver, we believe that trust is the foundation of every exceptional customer relationship. Since our founding in 2026, we have been dedicated to providing premium outdoor pet products while maintaining the highest standards of data privacy and transparency. This page is designed to empower you with full control over your personal information, in accordance with the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and other applicable privacy regulations.

We do not sell your personal information in the traditional sense. However, certain data-sharing activities—such as sharing hashed identifiers with advertising networks for targeted advertising or analytics—may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under the CCPA. We honor your right to opt out of such activities, and we make it simple and straightforward to do so.

Whether you're shopping for a rugged outdoor harness, a collapsible travel bowl, or a weatherproof leash, your privacy travels with you. We are committed to protecting it at every step of your journey with Trailver.

Understanding Your CCPA Rights

The California Consumer Privacy Act grants California residents specific rights regarding their personal information. At Trailver, we extend these rights to all our customers across the United States. Below is a detailed explanation of each right and how you can exercise it.

Right to Know

You have the right to request that we disclose what personal information we collect, use, disclose, and share about you. This includes the categories of personal information, the sources from which it was collected, the business purpose for collection, and the categories of third parties with whom we share it. You may request this information up to twice in a 12-month period.

Right to Delete

You may request that we delete any personal information we have collected from you, subject to certain exceptions. Upon receiving a verifiable request, we will delete your information from our active systems and direct our service providers to do the same. Exceptions may apply where retention is necessary to complete a transaction, detect security incidents, comply with legal obligations, or for other internal uses compatible with the context in which you provided the information.

Right to Opt-Out of Sale or Sharing

You have the right to direct us not to sell or share your personal information. While Trailver does not sell personal information for monetary compensation, certain data disclosures to advertising networks, analytics providers, and social media platforms may constitute a "sale" or "sharing" under the CCPA. You can exercise this right at any time by contacting us through the methods detailed on this page.

Right to Correct

You have the right to request that we correct inaccurate personal information that we maintain about you. Upon receiving a verifiable request, we will use commercially reasonable efforts to correct the information and ensure its accuracy moving forward.

Right to Limit Use of Sensitive Personal Information

You have the right to limit the use and disclosure of sensitive personal information. At Trailver, we only process sensitive information as necessary to provide our products and services, and we do not use it for purposes beyond those explicitly disclosed at the point of collection without your affirmative consent.

Categories of Personal Information We Collect

To provide you with the best outdoor pet products and shopping experience, we collect certain categories of personal information. Below is a comprehensive breakdown of what we collect, why we collect it, and how it is used.

Name, email address, postal address, phone number, IP address, and account credentials. Used for order fulfillment, customer support, and account management.

Commercial Information

Purchase history, products viewed, shopping cart activity, and warranty registrations. Used to process orders, provide recommendations, and improve our product offerings.

Internet Activity

Browsing history, search queries, clickstream data, and interaction with our website and advertisements. Used to enhance site functionality and personalize your experience.

Geolocation Data

General location derived from IP address for shipping estimates, tax calculation, and regional product availability. We do not collect precise GPS location.

Verification Process

To protect your privacy and ensure the security of your personal information, we are required to verify your identity before processing any CCPA request. Our verification process is designed to be thorough yet minimally intrusive.

What We May Ask For:

  • Full name and email address associated with your account
  • Order number or details of a recent transaction
  • Billing or shipping address on file
  • For requests involving sensitive information, additional documentation may be required

The information you provide for verification will be used solely for that purpose and will be deleted promptly after your request has been processed. We typically respond within 45 days, with the option to extend by an additional 45 days if reasonably necessary.

Authorized Agents

You may designate an authorized agent to submit a CCPA request on your behalf. To protect your privacy, we require the following from authorized agents:

  • Written permission signed by you authorizing the agent to act on your behalf
  • Verification of the agent's identity
  • Direct confirmation from you verifying the agent's authorization

Our Non-Discrimination Pledge

Trailver will never discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. This means we will not:

Deny you goods or services
Charge you different prices or rates
Provide a different level or quality of goods or services
Suggest that you may receive a different price or quality

However, we may offer financial incentives—such as loyalty discounts or exclusive offers—that are reasonably related to the value of your data. Participation in such programs is always voluntary and requires your explicit opt-in consent.

Response Timeline & Exceptions

We are committed to responding to your verifiable requests in a timely manner. Here's what you can expect:

Standard Response Time

We will acknowledge receipt of your request within 10 business days and respond substantively within 45 calendar days. If additional time is needed, we may extend this period by another 45 days, and we will notify you of the extension within the initial 45-day window.

Exceptions to Deletion

We may deny deletion requests where retention is necessary to: complete a transaction; detect and prevent security incidents or fraud; comply with legal obligations; exercise free speech rights; or use the information internally in a lawful manner compatible with your expectations.

Data Retention Practices

Trailver retains personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law. Our retention periods are guided by the following principles:

Account Information

Retained while your account is active plus 3 years for legal and audit purposes.

Transaction Records

Retained for 7 years to comply with tax and accounting regulations.

Marketing Preferences

Retained indefinitely unless you opt out or request deletion.

Website Analytics

Anonymized after 26 months; raw logs deleted after 12 months.

Children's Privacy

Trailver's website and services are intended for a general audience and are not directed at children under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect, sell, or share personal information from children under 16 without affirmative authorization. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal information without parental consent, please contact us immediately so we can take appropriate action.

In compliance with the CCPA, we will not sell or share the personal information of consumers we actually know are between 13 and 16 years old without their affirmative opt-in consent. For consumers under 13, opt-in consent must come from a parent or legal guardian.

Updates to This Policy

We may update this "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" page from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, legal requirements, or operational needs. When we make material changes, we will post the updated version on this page and update the "Effective Date" at the top of the page.

We encourage you to review this page periodically to stay informed about how Trailver protects your privacy rights. If we make changes that materially affect your rights, we may also notify you via email or through a prominent notice on our website.
